Dr. Robert Moses
Educator
 

Inspired by the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s, Bob Moses came to Mississippi to work with organizers such as Ella Baker, Fannie Lou Hamer and C.C. Bryant. Moses, who understood the relationship between education, civil and social responsibility, founded a new movement known as the Algebra Project. The Algebra Project is a system of learning that advocates math literacy and social liberation.

Dr. Moses is a professor at Harvard University, an instructor at Lanier High School in Jackson, Mississippi, and co-author if Radical Equations, Math Literacy and Civil Rights.
